IT Girls in Biomedicine - What does a female computer scientist do in health research?

On Girls’ Day, researchers at the Max Delbrück Center share their thoughts on bioinformatics and let the students work with data sets and programs themselves. 

‘Girls’Day – Future Prospects for Girls’ is a nationwide career-orientation project for girls aiming to get enthusiastic girls interested in careers in science. Scientists from our research groups as well as staff from the IT department are giving an impression of their everyday professional life.

We are looking forward to girls from Berlin and Brandenburg schools from the eighth grade upwards!

STEM Passion: A journey inspired by women in science

The artists Elisabetta Citterio and Claudia Cagliano have created portraits of nearly 60 female researchers from nine countries. Twenty-five of them can be viewed in the "STEM Passion" exhibition until March 12, 2024 in the Rahel Hirsch Center for Translational Medicine Berlin.
